JGA Announces FY 2014 Consolidated JGA Request for Application

Monday, April 29, 2013
A consolidated application for three Federal funding streams: Juvenile Accountability Block Grant Program, Title II Formula Grant Program and Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant Program

The District of Columbia’s Justice Grants Administration (JGA) announces the availability of funds for strategies designed to address truancy prevention, delinquency prevention, accountability-based programs, gender-specific re-entry programs focused on workforce development and program evaluation. This is a consolidated application for three Federal funding streams: Juvenile Accountability Block Grant Program (JABG), Title II Formula Grant Program and Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant Program (JAG). The overarching goal of FY 2014 JGA funding strategies is to ensure the continuity of successful programs currently funded and to expand the capacity-building initiatives created for the community-based organizations funded by JGA to assist them in establishing long term sustainability. Another equally important focus is the promotion of external program evaluation to further high standards of service across the District’s criminal and juvenile justice systems.
