The DC Criminal Justice Coordinating Council’s Grants Planning Committee cordially invites you to Building a Budget, Understanding Allowable Expenses and Tying Cost Estimates into Budget Narratives. This is the final training in the 2018 GPC Training Series, and will focus on helping government and non-profit partners understand best practices associated with building a program or grant-specific budget. Often given less attention than program narratives or project abstracts, budgets and budget narratives are critical to demonstrating that your organization understands what is needed to execute a proposed initiative or intervention. Through this training, attendees will hear directly from grant-makers on best practices, common mistakes, and tricks to improving your ability to build a budget for a fundable project.
