Policy on the Identification and Reporting of Child Victimization was developed with support from the Crime Victim Assistance Fund with leadership from the Freddie Mac Foundation Child and Adolescent Protection Center at Children’s National Medical Center. The intent of the policy is to improve the reporting of victimization so that children who experience violence receive care; to ensure that mandated reporters are aware of their responsibility to report suspected child victimization; and to provide resources to strengthen families so that they can better ensure the safety of their children.
