The District is setting up a Navy Yard Victim Assistance Response Line, which will be available starting Sunday and stay open around the clock for victims, witnesses and survivors of the Navy Yard shooting.
Individuals living and working in the neighborhood are welcome to seek assistance. Trained advocates are available to connect survivors to victim advocacy, trauma-informed therapy, and counseling services for short- and long-term services.
Those who need help should call 1-866-962-5048.
On Tuesday, the District opened the Mayor's Assistance Center, which operated for three days on N Street SW to help anyone affected by the Navy Yard shooting.
