Cheryl Bozarth

Cheryl Bozarth was appointed Interim Director of the Office of Victim Services and Justice Grants in August of 2022. Cheryl works to promote healthy relationships and caring communities to end interpersonal violence. She has over 24 years of professional experience in direct service and senior executive leadership roles in non-profit and government based human services.  Cheryl joined OVSJG as Deputy Director for Victim Services in 2018. Prior to joining OVSJG, Cheryl served as contracting officer for victim services, and subject matter expert on domestic and sexual violence to the Arlington County Board. Cheryl has also worked independently in nonprofit consulting specializing in strategic planning, program design and evaluation, and fund development.   

Cheryl has undergraduate and graduate degrees in psychology from the University of North Florida and a certificate in Executive Leadership from the University of Washington, Evans School of Public Policy.  She is a Licensed Professional Counselor, Approved Clinical Supervisor, and National Certified Counselor. Cheryl works with a demonstrated commitment to building systems and programs through diverse partnerships to support healing and justice. She has been successful in mobilizing substantial support across disciplines for victim services in both public and private sectors. Cheryl has been honored by The American Association of University Women, Soroptimist International, and recognized in the US Congressional Record for her efforts on behalf of victims.
