Join OVSJG as we commemorate Reentry Week, a nationwide effort to recognize how strong reentry programs make communities safer. During Reentry Week, the National Reentry Resource Center will be hosting several webinars with the Second Chance Act technical assistance providers on a variety of topics around re-entry. It is especially crucial during the COVID-19 pandemic to highlight the strong reentry programs due to the challenges men and women face upon reentry as they seek healthcare, housing, and employment.
The Office of Victim Services and Justice Grants collaborates with and provides funding to District agencies and community-based organizations that provide services to incarcerated and returning citizens. These programs work to reduce barriers to successful reentry by providing job placement, housing, and other support services that help prepare justice-involved individuals for success. For more information on coordinated reentry efforts in the District, visit the DC Reentry Action Network (RAN).
