Every person has dignity and potential. But one in three American adults has a criminal record, which limits their access to education, jobs, housing, and other things they need to reach that potential. Join OVSJG as we commemorate "Second Chance Month" in April, unlocking brighter futures for District residents who have repaid their debt to society.

The Office of Victim Services and Justice Grants collaborates with and provides funding to District agencies and community-based organizations that provide services to incarcerated and returning citizens. These programs work to reduce barriers to successful reentry, opening up opportunities in job placement, housing, and support services that help prepare justice-involved individuals for successful reentry.
