In recent years, there have been many advances for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer (LGBTQ) communities; however, many barriers still exist when members of these communities seek health and safety services. Because many institutions do not collect sexual orientation and gender identity (SOGI) data, the experiences of LGBTQ people are invisible. Beyond the Basics: Collecting and Utilizing Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity Data will introduce participants to best practices for collecting, analyzing, and utilizing SOGI data to better address the needs of LGBTQ program participants.
The webinar will be offered twice. The first webinar is on Thursday September 13, 2016 and again on Wednesday September 21, 2016. Both sessions are from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. ET.
