This position is located in the Executive Office of the Mayor, Office of Victim Services and Justice Grants (OVSJG). Victim Services is responsible for supporting and coordinating the development and implementation of a comprehensive system of care for crime victims within the District of Columbia. The office will also focus on the planning for, the administration and monitoring of, victim-service related Federal funds, including Victims of Crime Act Grant Programs, Office on Violence Against Women Act Grant Programs, and other grant programs created for the purpose of serving the crime victim community.

This position functions as Deputy Director of Victim Services, responsible for participating in, and supervises planning, directing, and coordinating the general program activities supported by OVSJG by working collaboratively with community-based organizations, systems-based victim assistance providers, colleges and universities, criminal justice agencies, Administration officials, and the public. The work supports OVSJG in improving the quality of life for crime victims in our nation's capital by working with DC Government agencies and community-based organizations to fulfill the mandate of OVSJG.
