The Office of Victim Services and Justice Grants (OVSJG) hosted the 2017 Trauma Training Institute on July 12th and 13th at the Catholic University of America. The Institute's objectives included enhancing participants' understanding of trauma and trauma informed response; identifying strategies for working with male victims of violence; discussing programs focused on violence intervention and prevention; and recognizing and addressing vicarious trauma. The Institute showcased  presentations on research and best practices from experts across the country working with trauma and male victimization. Over 150 professionals from community-based organizations, law enforcement, educational institutions, hospitals, and other government agencies attended.
