JGA Announces Notice of Funding Availability for FY 2014 Community-based Truancy Reduction Grant

This RFA is released exclusively to target students with frequent unexcused absences and their families attending low-performing DCPS schools

The District of Columbia Justice Grants Administration (JGA) announces the availability of funds for strategies designed to address truancy in the District. Data-driven and scientific-based practices should be implemented to enhance attendance, and access to community based services for families of those youth who are truant prior to interventions by the Child and Family Services Agency (CFSA).

DC Victim Hotline

The DC Victim Hotline is available for all crime victims in the District of Columbia. The hotline number is 844-4-HELP-DC (844-443-5732) and is operational 24/7. The hotline victim assistance staff provides basic crisis-intervention support and helps callers access the complete continuum of care for crime victims, including relevant and appropriate resources based on the needs of the caller.
